Not at Lambeth

There will be little coverage of Lambeth here. Not because it's not important, but because I don't think I will be able to add anything to the acres of comment that there will be.

I hope to reproduce some of the publicity material being produced by MCU, InclusiveChurch and others on the liberal wing from the Lambeth Conference marketplace.

(Good idea, the marketplace. It lets everyone have their say and make a lot of noise, and it keeps them away from all the bishops except those who choose to put their nose in. If you've real influence you use other routes but the major lobby groups can't stay away because that would be an admission of how peripheral they are. It's expensive and so I hope it helps subsidise the Conference.)

I recommend Elizabeth Keaton Tell Secrets; Jim Naughton at Episcopal Cafe; Dave Walker at The Cartoon Church and the Church Times Blog; and Riazat Butt at The Guardian, and Ruth Gledhill at The Times who has a way of getting hold of documents.

Anyway, I'm off for a few days, avoiding Canterbury, and will try to catch up when I'm back. Happy Lambeth watching.
